Superior compared to all aronias, the Viking Aronia has berries that are slightly larger than average, very good flavour (considered better than others) and is the highest producer. Like other aronia berries, they can be a bit tart / astringent for fresh eating but are great when used for cooking, baking, wines, jams and smoothies. These berries are known to have three times more antioxidants than blueberries!
Not only is the Viking Aronia grown for its berries, it is a highly recommended ornamental shrub that has beautiful white blossoms in the spring and stunningly vibrant reddish-orange leaves in autumn!
