Not suitable for city lots. Has aggressive root system, so best to plant with plenty of distance from house, and septic systems and not under power lines. Great for windbreaks or quick shade tree that does not produce fuzz / fluff. Approximately 6′ canopy clearance. It is considered to be drought-tolerant, and thus makes an ideal choice for xeriscaping or the moisture-conserving landscape!
